When creating a new current opportunity (or editing an existing opportunity, with the pencil icon) you use the Opportunity Details screen.

These are mandatory fields that need to be filled out:

  • Subject: Usually <main item> - <client name>
  • Description: Title of Project
  • Start Date: Day of Pick-up
  • End Date: Day of Return
  • Days of Use: Number of days that will be charged. Student Week-end is 1 day, Friday Pick-Up to Monday Return
  • Delivery: 1st box - Day of Pick-Up
  • In Use: 1st day of use to last day of use
  • Pickup: 2nd Box - Day of Equipment Return

In most cases, client picks up and returns at our shop, so we should check both the Customer Collecting and Customer Returning boxes.

If we are making a delivery, then those boxes should not be checked. Instead, we should select the Venue (adding it if necessary) where delivery/pick-up is being done.

There are 3 check-boxes at the bottom of the form which track the state of the client paperwork & payment status.

  • Contract: Client has filled out the contract
  • CCA: Client has filled out the Credit Card Authorization
  • Paid: Client has paid the invoice or made payment

When an opportunity is first entered, none of those checkbox are filled. As the paperwork comes in, the opportunity is updated with the appropriate checkbox.
