A Duckbill is a clamp that is used to grab onto beadboard or other flat objects. This is used by the grip department. It is also called:

  • Platypus
  • Platy
  • Quacker Clamp
  • Beadboard Holder
  • Oinky Bonk

Uses

Mostly used to hold beadboard or foam core. It's best to put the item fully into the clamp as it can slip out. You can also clamp onto a pancake for a quick pigeon plate. A shotbag or sandbag should be placed on the pancake to prevent tipping.

Troubleshooting

The vice grip shaft will sometimes fall out. You may have to unscrew the vice grip and slip the pin back inside the track.
