The Quarantine module is where equipment is taken out of service and made unavailable for rental. There are a few reasons why equipment might be out of service:

  • Equipment Damaged
  • Equipment is Lost
  • Equipment is being serviced (i.e. clean fabric, change oil, etc...)

There are only 2 ways for an item to get out of quarantine:

  • Return to Service
  • Write Off

When an item is repaired, found or finished servicing, it should be returned to service, which puts it back in the pool of available equipment.

If the equipment is lost or not repairable, it should be written-off.
