Bounce Boards, also called Beadbords, are a styrofoam tool used for bouncing and shaping light on sets. They often used handheld by a grip or set in a platypus clamp on a c stand

Making Bounce Boards

We make Bounce Boards by:

  • Taking 3/4" Styrofoam "beadboard" and cutting the board to size.
  • Cut a piece of foam core to that same size.
  • Put the foam core on the bounce board.
  • Wrap all sides in 2" white gaff tape. You will have to lay two strips of tape side by side to cover both the foam core edge and the bounce board edge.

If you want it to be silver, add silver stipple on top of the foam core before wrapping it in tape. Be sure to super 77 the foam core before putting the silver stipple on.
