1. Using the speedrail that runs down the center of the shop, lower it down to eye level or just slightly above. For 6x and 8x you can look at them without adjusting the height.

2. Take the rag out of the bag and check to make sure the bag tag matches the rag.

3. Throw the rag over the speedrail and spread it out.

4. Visually inspect the rag for any rips, holes, or damage of any kind. It is often helpful to walk down the inside of the rag if it is something opaque.

5. If damage is found, take photographs and send them to the rental manager so that the appropriate L/D can be charged. Damage to look for besides the obvious rips, tears, burn marks, is also water damage on solids. When they get wet the fire retardant can start to come off in white streaks, they must be replaced if this occurs.

6. Check to make sure all the ties are on the grommets. The corners do not need ties. If they are missing, replace them.

7. For anything that is a diffusion (look for a yellow bar on the soft good bag if unsure, Muslin is the only exception here), you can stuff them back into the bag. If it is not a diffusion you will want to fold them up using the painters fold.

8. Once you have it back in the bag, tie it up and tape it with red tape.
