Add free-form Rental item to Quote

Occasionally, we need to put a line-item on a Quote or Order that is not a piece of gear in inventory. Examples are: specialty item we'll never carry, sub-rentals, etc...

Follow this process to add a text line-item.

Adding Free-Form Rental Items

• In the Opportunity's Screen, select "Add a new opportunity item/group" and choose Item.
• In the Item Dialog, Select the "Text Item" radio button
• In the Name field, enter the line-item.
• In the Transaction Type, select "Rental"
• In the Quantity field, enter the number of items
• Leave Rate Definition to Daily and don't touch the other fields of that section.
• Fill out Price, Discount & Chargeable Days
• If a sub-rented item, select Yes to Sub-Rent Stock and provide the supplier.
• Select Create Opportunity Item button
