Grid Clamp

Grid Clamps are clamps that will attach to 1-1/4" to 1-1/2" speedrail and come in 2 variety: Baby and Junior.

A Baby Grid Clamp or Baby Cheeseboro gives you a 5/8 baby pin to rig to.

A Junior Grid Clamp or Junior Cheeseboro gives you a junior receiver to rig to. The Junior receiver has a hole in it for securing equipment with a cotter pin.

Uses

Baby

These can be used as rigging points, similar to a pipe clamp. The only difference is that there are less moving pieces with a baby cheeseboro and are a bit more rigid. For this reason they should be used when a point is not meant to move at all. If a light is being hung, then a baby pipe clamp will be preferable, mostly because it is easy to pan the light even if you don't have a cotter pin in, plus you can hang the clamp on the pipe as you tighten it, while a baby cheeseboro must be hung first, then the light rigged onto it.

A baby cheeseboro is also slightly more low profile than a pipe clamp.

Junior

• Best used if needed to hang a fixture at a 90-degree angle on a piece of pipe. Most other times a Baby Pipe Clamp is preferable.
