Junior Stands

Junior stands are stands that are used to hold up lights that use a junior pin. Lights will use a junior pin when they are heavier and cannot be put on a baby stand safely. The junior pin itself is 1 1/8" in diameter and slides into the stand.

We are standardizing on American Grip Stands. The American Stand Model Number is next to the stand type. We are slowly phasing out stands from Matthews, Modern & Norms.

Uses

There are a number of different kinds of junior stands to achieve different heights. The stands we carry are:

  • Dana Dolly Combo Stand (RS00DD)

This is a special 1 riser Low Combo Stand that has a flat plate on top to hold the Dana Dolly track ends. We have a few pairs that strictly go out with the Dana Dolly kits.

  • Low Combo Stand (RS04)

Used if you would like a lower height. Has 2 risers and is made of steel. Has a baby pin and a junior receiver, so it can do both baby and junior lights, this is where it gets the name combo. Has a Rocky Mountain leg if you would like to level it on a sloped terrain.

  • Junior Combo Stand (RS10)

This is what you would call a regular combo stand. 3 Risers (RS10) pr 2 Risers (RS08), has a Rocky Mountain leg, and has a baby pin and junior receiver. This stand is mostly used by electrics, but grips may take them and put lollipops in them to turn them into grip combos.

  • Grip Combo Stand

Same thing as a Junior Combo stand, but this has a lollipop built into it so you can grab flags. This stand is solely used by grips. We don't carry any at this time.

  • Mombo Combo Stand (OHS14)

When you need as much height as you can get. Has 4 Risers, Rocky Mountain leg. Some Mombo Combos will have a baby pin as well as a junior receiver, but most will just have a grip head or lollipop on it and you will need to use a junior to baby adapter to put a baby pin on it. We do have one pair of 3 Risers Mombo (OHS12) that is packed in the Sprinter as it can stand up due to its lower height when collapsed.

Accessories

Junior to baby adapter, Junior Offset, Double Header, Triple Header.

Troubleshooting

The only thing that will usually go wrong on these is that the riser will get bent. You can order the risers from American Grip and they can be fixed in house.
